When Popeyes debuted its inaugural chicken sandwich in 2019, it was nothing short of a national phenomenon. The launch's great success put the entire QSR industry on notice and quickly led to all of Popeyes' competitors introducing a chicken sandwich of their own. Now, Popeyes is launching its new Blackened Chicken Sandwich, a breading-free option that still has all the flavor Popeyes fans know and love. And if we learned anything from years ago, their competitors may want to copy them again, so we decided to help them. Throughout our campaign – including TV, OOH, and social – we're releasing the Blackened Chicken Sandwich's ingredients for our competitors to try their best at copying it while poking fun at the lengths they'll go to master chicken like us. Blackened Chicken Sandwich generated a total of 2,695,695,169 media impressions. Think they'll be able to copy it?

Ten years ago, Dieunerst Collin became known to the internet as the ‘Popeyes Kid.’ But since then, he’s gone from accidental internet meme fame to becoming a D2 NCAA football player. Dieunerst wanted the world to know he was and who he's become. And since Dieunerst has been representing the brand for years, it’s time Popeyes finally represented him back, officially. So we got Popeyes to sponsor Dieunerst Collin in the form of an NIL (name, image, likeness) deal, and gave him the full star athlete treatment he deserves.
